They would pirate their songs which gained attention from an audience making them recognisable and famous.
5) How are fans positioned to respond to the band? What does Arctic Monkeys want fans to think about their video?
They want their fans to appreciate their song writing and singing talent rather then a specticle of a music video.

They would give albums away for free and encourage piracy towards their songs and would do small gigs in pubs .
2) Why was P2P file sharing and MySpace an unexpected aspect to Arctic Monkeys' early success?

3) How does the rise of Arctic Monkeys differ from how BLACKPINK were formed and became famous?
BLACKPINK were artificially made to succeed so it was much easier for them especially since they were made by a records company YG Entertainment whilst Arctic monkeys only did it with a small/ independent company Domino Records.

4) Who is Arctic Monkeys record label and how many copies did they sell of their debut album? Why did they choose an independent record label?
They chose an independent record label to have creative freedom with their songs.

5) Looking at the wider music industry, has the internet been a positive or negative development for record companies and artists? Why?

 There are both positives and negatives of being in the music industry with this developed technology as it is much easier to advertise music and randomly get viral online however, it is difficult to stand out because of the large amount of people trying to make it in the music industry.
