Camera Movement And Editing
Camera Movement
-When John is caught by the police (1.44) there is a handheld shot used to portray his unease and stress to the audience and make them feel the same as him, empathising with his character.
-When the pace starts to get fast again (2.16) the camera is moving on a dolly which emphasises the action and the fact that its on a steady track makes it easy to understand all the actions/movements.
-At 2.52 the camera moves towards John giving the effect of a zoom to bring intensity to the scene .The producers also made the zoom quick/fast to enhance the effect of fast action being shown.
Shots And Camera Angles
-A wide shot is used at 1.04 to show the setting and atmosphere of where this chase scene is taking place whilst also showing John running .
-The shot 1.04 is also a birds eye view angle which is used along with a wide shot to give the audience part of the police's perspective whilst also showing how John is running away. The fact that John is very small and looked down upon illustrates that the police are the ones with the power .
